Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County

Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County partners with local workforce families to build affordable homes in the community they serve. Through USDA Rural Development loans and community support, we make homeownership possible for those priced out of the conventional market — including teachers, nurses, first responders, and more.
Since 1994, we’ve built 36 homes, creating stability and opportunity for over 260 individuals. With help from volunteers, donors, and partners, we’re building a future where everyone can thrive in our mountain town.
Our events are a great way to connect, give back, and be part of our mission. Check out what’s coming up and join us in making a difference.

Habitat for Humanity Archuleta County has built 36 homes to date benefiting 146 children and 116 adults.

Solar panels and all-electric appliances have increased energy efficiency and reduced utility costs for future owners.

Partnerships with contractors, volunteers, and donors reduced construction costs by 30%.

Lend a hand and help build more than just homes — build hope, stability, and a stronger future for families in Archuleta County. Whether you’re handy with a hammer or just ready to learn, there’s a place for you on our team. Come be part of something meaningful.
